The Rumble. . . a FREE indie rock dance party w/ FREE drinks from Effen Vodka and Red Bull (Event Over)
Editors' Take
Get ready to rumble...The Owl Mag isn't taking any more of this sleepy, sleazy, boring club shit. They're bringing you a real rock n' roll party, and the best part is it's free if you RSVP here.
Do you feel like the scene's been failing us lately? The
dance clubs are sleazy, the rock shows are sleepy, and here we are
still paying way too much for our hard earned cocktails in stale
smelling dives. And what are we getting out of it all? A few
awkward photos with fashion-forward goofballs on some photo
blog? Well, we're mad as hell and we're not gonna take it
anymore! It's time for a Rumble in SF.
October 3rd, 2007 marks the opening night of Rumble, the sickest, dopest, flyest, most awesomest monthly rock dance party this side of the Mississippi. For starters we've got Brian of Scissors for Lefty (fresh off a US tour with the Smashing Pumpkins) and Dmap (Dan) of Every Move a Picture setting the Harlot dance floor aflame. On top of that we've got Bagel Radio DJ Ted on the decks, FREE Effen Vodka and Red Bull (8 to 9PM) and cheap brew from Pilsner Urquell behind the bar, and giveaways from TankFarm Clothing, Atlas and Villains to take home.
You can thank your friends at The Owl Mag, TankFarm/Future Sounds, Bagel Radio, My Open Bar, and Harlot for the brilliant idea.
