Editors' Take
Pets, alcohol, nudity, roller blades and over-sized costumes are exactly what make this annual 12k the biggest party of the year. It's never to early to get your group planned, get your costume sewn, and get your keg ordered. Start now!
The funny thing about the Bay to Breakers official website is the item entitled "Restrictions:"
For everyone's safety and enjoyment, no pets, alcohol, nudity, roller blades, skateboards, bicycles, or plastic bags for warm-ups are allowed on course. Wheeled objects and over-sized costumes must line up at the back.
Oh, Bay to Breakers. Don't you know that pets, alcohol, nudity, roller blades and over-sized costumes are exactly what make this annual 12k the biggest party of the year? Without any of that shit, Bay to Breakers would just be a bunch of boring runners clogging up our streets for two hours.
Registration starts in January. Hint: If you're planning on blacking out around mile 1.5 and passing out in Dolores Park, then just don't register. You won't get the Official Breakers Participant T-shirt (bummer), but you'll save yourself 40 hard-earned duckets (score!).
