‘THE FUTURE OF THE FUNK’ EDITION
FEATURING KEV CHOICE & B’NAI REBELFRONT
Keyboardist/MC Kev Choice (Lauryn Hill, Spearhead, Martin Luther)
and guitarist/vocalist B’nai Rebelfront (the Coup, Martin
Luther, Lyrics Born) announce the formation of a new alliance: The
Junction. They each bring to the table their own creative vision;
as The Junction, they represent a collective musical consciousness,
which must be experienced live to be fully understood.
For The Junction's "Future of The Funk Edition", Kev Choice and his
Ensemble will pay homage to classic funk from the Bay Area and
bringing it up to date for the new millennium. He will once again
deliver his signature arrangements, but this time with a funky
futuristic twist using vintage keys, synths, and sounds from the
funk era of the 70's and early 80'. We're taking it back, bringing
it back, giving it back!!

carefully balancing its thrashier side with smoothed-out elements,
coming off somewhat reminiscent of both early Prince and P-Funk's
Michael "Kidd Funkadelic" Hampton, yet with an emotionally charged

Resident DJ Afrikan Sciences serves up the funky soul, rare grooves
& hip-hop. Special Guest DJ Ant Marshall (Co-founder,
Lyricist Lounge / Host-Producer, Current TV).
