One of the pioneering DJ's of Dubstep Chefal, aka Chef, hails from
the home of Dubstep - Croydon, South London. Chefal's upfront
selection and skills on the decks have quickly led him to djing
extensively both within the UK and around Europe. He's resident at
THE two pioneering Dubstep nights in London - DMZ and FWD>> -
as well as holding residencies at Slam It! (Helsinki, Finland) and
Voodoo People (Amsterdam, Holland). When Chefal isn't playing
records, he's busy making them (actually making them) at Transition
Studios, where pretty much every fresh dubstep record gets mastered
and pressed. Busy man Chefal also finds the time to host a weekly
Radio Show on London's leading Rinse.Fm as well as manage his own
label - Ringo Records.
DZ(SCUBA /BLACK ACRE /LODUBS /BADMAN PRESS-OTTAWA)
In the vast worldwide Dubstep scene many prolific producers fill
record bags and CDRs. DZ's vast weekly output of dubs reaches dance
floors from San Francisco to Bristol and beyond. With 14 years of
djing raves and clubs DZ started focusing on production in 1999. DZ
has built Hip-Hop, Breaks, D&B and Dubstep and is even dabbling
in Bassline. He has current releases on SCUBA, BLACK ACRE,
LODUBS and forthcoming tunes on TRUE TIGER and AUFECT and a few
imprints in the works. Everyone of his release so far has gone to
repress at least once. His first full-length Lp is very anticipated
by the underground. DZ prides himself on playing mostly
unreleased dubs from "next generation" producers and works with too
many others to list here. His live sets are full of energy with dub
after dub fired off faster than you can say BADMAN. DZ, or what
ever he calls himself this week, is one to keep an eye and ear
on.........just follow the rolling sub bass.
