As anyone working in nightlife knows, that's like an eternity in club years! We can't believe it's been that long since we first started, way back in 2003 on a Wednesday night at the Cherry Bar -- time flies when you're having fun! So this Saturday, to celebrate this milestone, we're throwing our biggest, wildest, most EPIC party EVER!!! Seven DJs, 22 stage performers of all kinds, one live mashup band ... and 500 free Bootie CDs! Here are all the details....

REVENGE OF THE A+D SHOW
DJs Adrian & the Mysterious present a multimedia mashup extravaganza
To celebrate BOOTIE's 5th Anniversary, Bootie creators and resident DJs Adrian & the Mysterious D will present "Revenge Of The A+D Show," a sequel to last year's epic multimedia mashup extravaganza , which features their own A plus D mashups in a stage show combining mashup videos, drag numbers, live performances, themed go-go dancers, an audience sing-along, dance troupes, and even a live Guitar Hero mashup!
The performers in the show are a veritable "who's who" from the SF underground : Steven Satyricon, The Indra, Felicia Fellatio, Renttecca, Jordan L'Moore, Ya-Ya, Princess Kennedy, Patty O'Furniture, Tristan Shout, Travis D, and John!John!
The show also includes two dance troupe numbers from Johnny Sexbang of SF Boylesque and hip-hop dance troupe Funk4Soul .
It's going to be EPIC, and it's going to be a feast for the senses ... and you'll still be able to dance your ass off!

At 11 pm: SMASH-UP DERBY presents
"Smells Like Mashups 101: A Bastard Pop History Lesson"
Class is in session! Professors Adrian and Trixxie will be schooling you on mashup culture in a Pop-Up Video format, as SMASH-UP DERBY ---- still the world's only live mashup rock band ---- uses PowerPoint presentation slides and live music to trace the chronology of the scene's most landmark tracks, from 2002's seminal "A Stroke of Genie-us" to a "Smells Like Teen Spirit" live mashup mega-mix, as well as other pivotal tracks in Bastard Pop history.
You'll learn all sorts of important mashup facts and trivia as the band rocks out the songs that have helped shape bastard pop and bootleg culture into what it is today.

While the "Revenge Of The A+D Show" will be the main feature, it wouldn't be an anniversary party without our other fabulous resident DJs.
PARTY BEN returns to the DNA Lounge decks, spinning a "best-of" set both before and after "Revenge Of The A+D Show," and MALDEROR, our resident DJ at Bootie BRC (yes, that's at Burning Man), will be doing a very special set at 10:30 PM. And of course, as always, DADA will get the night kicked off with his favorite mashups from the past year.

Upstairs: COVERS LOUNGE
with DJs EARWORM and THROAT YOGURT
The last time we did the Covers Lounge upstairs, it was such a blast, we just knew we had to do it again. So we've been saving it for the 5-Year Anniversary, where in the upstairs room, we'll be celebrating our love of all forms of manipulated pop music.
DJs EARWORM and THROAT YOGURT will delight and surprise you with cover songs all night!
Be ready to not only dance your asses off, but play a guessing game of who's covering what. They'll be spinning very eclectic sets, featuring fresh takes on familiar classics, as well as a few hidden gems as well.

Since it's our 5-Year Anniversary, we're going all out, and we just got a bunch of swag!
We've printed up beautiful Bootie 5-Year Commemorative posters, with every single half-and-half flyer face we've ever done, as well as a list of every guest mashup DJ and live performer we've ever featured at any of our parties!
We also FINALLY got a fresh batch of BOOTIE t-shirts! In both men's and women's sizes, and they feature the Bootie logo on the front, and our slogan -- "Ruining your favorite song since 2003" -- on the back.
Both items wil be available for purchase upstairs at Coat Check while supplies last!
