Concert at Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco- Presented by Grind
for the Green
August 11th, 2008- Oakland, CA
Jahi, the lyrically conscious emcee, known for his high energy
performances and intelligent flows of substance and change,
currently on Slamjamz (Chuck D of Public Enemy’s digital
label), will be one of the performers at the 1st Bay Area Solar
Powered Hip Hop Concert, on September 7th 2008 from 12 pm to 4pm,
at the highly acclaimed Yerba Buena Gardens- located at 745 Mission
St., San Francisco, CA 94103. Admission is Free, and the
event is hosted and sponsored by Grind for The Green and Yerba
Buena Gardens (
www.ybca.org) Fiyawata, Rashad Ahman of Crown City Rockers, Queen Deelah and
Ren from True Skool are also on the bill.
Grind for the Green is an annual summer eco-music festival produced
by and for youth in the San Francisco Bay Area. More than just a
showcase for local talent, G4G provides a framework and applied
learning environment where youth from the hip-hop generation build
business acumen and technical skills necessary for professional
advancement.
