All about Dottie:
Just like The City By The Bay,
Dottie is known for her dizzying hills and dangerous curves. Well, hello
San Francisco! She's here.
Hailing from New York City, where she's known to cause a rucus with
a horn, shake it up and bring bawdy brouhaha to well known stages
like Coney Island Side Show, The Supper Club and Bowery Poetry
Club. Also an educator, she has performed and lectured at NYU and
Bard University. New Orleans, Boston, Baltimore, Washington DC, Los
Angeles and Seattle have all got a taste of Dottie's chuckles,
bumps and grinds. Dottie also runs the
Red Hots Burlesque night at El Rio in the Mission every Friday night!
Don't miss your chance to sketch Dottie!
yours truly, Jessica Whiteside and my lovely co-hostess, Alice Stribling.
Founded in New York City by the amazingly talented artist, Molly Crababapple, Dr. Sketchy's is a drawing workshop that features Burlesque performers, belly dancers, drag queens and other fabulous people as models. So, if you are an artist who is sick of the same old boring life drawing workshop than come and see what all the fuss is about. Bring your sketch book, your drinking hat, and be prepared to have some super sexy fun!
