I started Fresh Steps as an opportunity to showcase the
talent of my peers and colleagues.
I noticed that oakland was lacking a live performance opportunity
for the many artists that live in the area.
Having a weekly night at Luka's Taproom gave me the space to make
that happen. I decided to turn one of those nights a month into a
show with the feel of the live shows I used to attend that
solidified my love hip-hop (la peña, black buddha holla!).
Something Fresh, as in style and feeling. This month the show falls
on my birthday so I have asked some true fam to bless us. Resident
