House of Diehl presents

STYLE WARS

The Style Battle Championship Tour 2007

Live Style Battling, plus performance from

C.L.A.W.S and All Teeth And Knuckles

Vogue Magazine calls House of Diehl "Punk meets Warhol"...   Michael Musto calls Style Battling "the newest variation on krumping."

8 contenders go head to head to create fast fashion live for the title of San Francisco Style Battle Champion, and $1000 in cash and prizes!

Straight outta NYC, inspired by MC battling, Victor & Rolf/Martin-Margiela-style fashion, and mash-up DJ-ing, Style Battling is competitive fashion, created live on stage, in a matter of minutes, using anything from a pair of jeans to an umbrella to a balenciaga bag. Competitors cut, tear, burn, spray-paint, and otherwise destroy/rebuild clothing, live on models or on people pulled from the audience. This is The 8-Mile of Style. WWD meets WWF.

Style Battling is already taking the East Coast and Europe by storm. San Francisco is the first West Coast stop on the national Style Wars tour. Catch this fresh new movement NOW!

House of Diehl has taken style battling all over the world, from supporting Sonic Youth in Europe, to performing to tens of thousands of people alongside Elton John and Versace at the Life Ball in Vienna, to shows at New York's fashion week...

Partners include: Moli.com SOMA magazine Crossroads Trading Co. 111 Minna

Cost: $8 in advance / $12 at the door

    Oh, now I'm sad!

The show started at midnight. I'm glad because it was alot less jammed as people left. I thought the designers were all amazing. The guy who came up with the silver + white dress should have won the whole thing. I guess reviewers can't tell a damn good designer when they see one. Well I had fun and if the sweet girl in white who I was talking to for half the night reads this review, please drop me a line!!

Damn, girl! When it did go down (at midnight) it was a total BLAST!! I actually knew a couple of the competitors, so I wasn't in any rush to leave. Anyway, I was blown away to see something brand new, and cool in nightlife. I guess some things are worth staying up for...

quite annoyed that the show still had not started by 11:30.
plenty of other things to do than wait around for nothing. there was more going on outside on the street than on the stage.
hope those of you who stuck around actually got to see something.
